DAY 1

Day 1

While I went back to town to get ice & movie DVDs, Mike pulled the coach out of the shop onto the snow covered driveway. Once loaded ready to go we weren't going anywhere. We were stuck. The warm tires from inside of the shop had melted the snow and we were spinning our wheels. I suggested sacrificing Shopcat's litter, but Mike got floordry from the shop and put it by the wheels and we nudged our way out.

Heading south via Broadus, the snow got less and less. Now it's in the shady spots and the snowplow piles. Wall Drug signs abound offering free water, pie, maps, everything but prescriptions, a drug store's purpose.

We boon docked in Valentine, NE so I had to get valentines to be postmarked from the heart city.

Day 2

Black Ice this morning. Mike nervous. We filled with gas for the first time. $224 for 68 gal. Just like last year, Mike has drilled all over this country from cathodic protection for missle silos around Ellsworth Air Force Base to groundsourcing the Admin. Bldg. at Rosebud Indian Reservation. He stayed in Valentine during that job.

This morning Mike retired his RK statewide auction hat for his new blue Reynolds Market hat. Hope things are sunny in Cancun. Shopcat is enjoying the ride. She has her food dish and litter box. Since we forgot her "stringer" we use the zipper purse from Kniepkamps and McGoverns unzipped for her to chase around the coach.

Love the trip down Hiway 83 though all the towns. I read to Mike about each state's history and uniqueness from a book I bought at Christmas. Kansas is the most republican state; Eisenhower's home but the most famous resident is Dorothy from Wizard of OZ.
