Sites of NOLA (New Orleans, LA)

Mardi Gras decorations are everywhere and they are starting to get the bleachers set up for the parades.

Trees in the swamp are laden with Spanish Moss. Our swamp tour guide showed us how to strip the green coating off the moss and you have thread strong enough to suture. Alligators in the swamp grow about a foot a year UP TO AGE 6 THEN AN INCH/YR. If only see the head, from eyes to snout will grow an inch for each year. So if 6" long it's 6 years old. Only 3% survive cuz lots of preditors including other alligators.

Seen in the French Quarter " Weez married now".
