Pike Place of Pensacola

Joe Patty's has been the fresh fish place in Pensacola since 1931.  It was a madhouse at 5 on Friday night.  You get a number when you go in -Cass and Rene had learned that from experience from their first trip.   We got steamed seasoned shrimp.  They put it on ice ad we bought cocktail sauce and ate them in the pickup like a bunch of rednecks as we drove to the Oar House for dinner.   Cass and Rene got a bunch of fish- rock shrimp, tuna, etc. for the trip home. They are leaving Sunday.   After our trip to New Orleans two yearsa ago and the many trips to the fish market, our fridge smelled like shrimp and had to be scrubbed and  stuffed with crumpled newspapers for weeks to absorb the smell, so we bag and doublebag and sometimes triple bag,
Sailboat comes in to harf at the Oar House.
