Since I couldn't find any state parks that had opening in
their campground to handle a 40' coach, we booked at Campers Inn, Panama City Beach, as we traveled along the gulf
beach highway 98. Awesome for me but
stressful for Mike cuz lots of stop signs and 45 mph sections. Campers Inn was too cramped and the pull thru
not long enough so we got our money back and pulled across the street to an
empty parking lot. We took a break and
in shifts took a walk on the sugar white beaches of the Florida gulf. This beach was rated the best in the USA in
2012. When I got back with a few shells,
Mike said someone had told him to move and had suggested the state park or Wal-Mart. We settled for boondocking at Wal-Mart and
were in the midst of paid family entertainment....Wonder world Arcade,
Mini-golf and maize, Ripley's believe it or not. We had a beautiful lake with fountain and
path next to us and another RVer from Regina, SASK joined us on their way to
Daytona 500 this weekend.
Mini golf & MAZE. This is taken from middle of maze. I had to exit or starve before finding my way out.

Mini golf & MAZE. This is taken from middle of maze. I had to exit or starve before finding my way out.
We ate at Dirty Dick's Crabhouse and worked hard at cracking
open crab legs and saved enough for making yummy crab salad for lunch today (
along with more fresh shrimp in cocktail sauce). I purchased an unlimited mini golf and maze
package for $18 so played Sunday night and Mike joined me for mini golf before
we left Panama City today. He wouldn't
allow any pictures of him playing mini golf.
I tried the maze and got half way thru before taking an escape and we
headed out after making reservations at 3 River State Park and end of the week
At Cedar Keys, Fl, where we plan to meet up with Jim & Katherine Lee
and Lyle's friend Ed. It's a lot of work finding a campsite in the
state parks at the last minute, but now I know you can reserve them 11 months
in advance online. floridastateparks.org
